Start your Japan trip with confidence

Most people take this workshop at the beginning of their time in Tokyo so they can come home with photos they’re actually proud of.

You’ll learn a simple approach you can use throughout the rest of your trip.

Day 1: Shinjuku + Shibuya

  • How to approach shooting in a new country (mindset, settings, and confidence)

  • Creative session on light, composition, movement, and reading a scene

  • Guided street photography walk through Shinjuku with live shooting demos

  • Transition into Shibuya for high energy shooting and timing

  • Editing and group critique session

  • Evening session covering low light, night shooting, and adapting to changing conditions

Day 2: Asakusa + Personal Project

  • Morning shoot in Asakusa focused on storytelling and sense of place

  • Working with quieter scenes, details, and environmental framing

  • Apply what you’ve learned in a real world setting

  • Final group critique and next steps for the rest of your trip
